DJ R3hab "Keep Up For Your Love" & FunxDance Mix

Today's post comes to us from Dutch DJ/Producer R3hab. I came across this track thanks to Bosnian producer MOONTOUCH. R3hab is a somewhat known dj/producer on this side of the pond but has gained recent notoriety with remixes of Mujava, Critical Mass, and a remix of Bob Sinclair's "Tik Tok" which he did with none other than the Dutch master himself; DJ Chuckie. This track is one of his latest collaborations with musical partner Ferruccio Salvo. It's super dancy and I am sure you'll enjoy this tune as much as I have. I am also posting a download link for all of you to download the new mix that R3hab just released on dutch dance blog FunxDance with tracks by the likes of Alex Peace, Avicci, DADA Life, and Afrojack. Download it at R3hab's Funx Dance Mix and for more tracks and downloads please check out r3hab@Soundcloud

Got this sent to me from local producer ATOM-SMASHER. Atom-Smasher aka Ryan Rodriguez is a local producer from Garden Grove CA. When asked why he makes music he simply replied, "I love it!"
"Music has always been a part of me and this(producing)is just another way for me to do that."
Atom Smasher's track "Trigger Finger" is a chilled out/down tempo dub. This kid's got style and intelligence and his tracks are the perfect match for deep thought and your headphones. He has only recently begun producing but already has a number of quality tracks. You can expect to hear more from him this year. The latest from Bosnian wild child MOONTOUCH

Bosnian born producer MoonTouch has released his latest track via MoonTouch studios where he spends most of his time putting together his ever changing repetoir of improving productions. While I'm not sure this kid has found his sound just yet, this track is very promising and shows a steadily increasing maturity and production skill. This kid is intelligent and very talented and if this is any indicator of what's to come than I think we should all start paying attention right now. I personally am having a great time hearing this producer's progress and know that you will to. This track is available with many others for download at http://soundcloud.com/moontouch also search him out on facebook to be up to date on what's coming next and when.

BloodSport!!!

Blood sport is an electro-duo from westminster california that are making big noise with their original productions as well as some pretty impressive mash-ups...Seeing as how earlier in the week i have posted an original and a remix it only seemed right that i now throw a mash up on the table for your consideration. What mash up you ask? well, "Pacha On Acid" a clever mash up of Dutch master AFROJACK and french house legends DAFTPUNK(which has hit 20,000 views on youtube). When i spoke with calvin le(one half of bloodsport)about his influences he told me, "if there is something you must know about me. is that i eat breathe and sleep daft punk." which is evident in alot of their sounds. They have a sleu of songs in the making and i personally cant wait to hear more. For more tracks and download links please check out http://www.youtube.com/users/OfficialBloodsport & http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Bloodsport/113544078685972

Kaossilator Pro

The leading manufacturer and innovators of synthesizers and sound creation technology KORG USA recently released the new version of the Kaossilator. The Kaossilator pro. It's housed in the same body as the popular KP3 but it is loaded with more sounds and user friendly features such as 4 channel sampler/looper. Each of the 4 channels can hold and play an unlimited number of loops making production as well as on the fly performance a whole lot easier and endlessly creative. Here are some videos to give you an idea of what these units can do. I can't wait to get mine and you can rest assured that as soon as I recieve mine in the mail I will be posting original productions. Enjoy...Cheers

Yesterday the hip hop world lost one of it's most talented and prolific rhyme sayers. Guru of the legendary and pioneering hip hop group GANGSTARR died yesterday after a long bout with cancer. Guru was a lyrical master with a smooth and fluid style un matched anywhere in hip hop. He will be missed but he lives on through his music. Rest in peace friend, I know you're up there holdin it down above the clouds.

The 2010 International Dance Music Awards

The 2010 Miami Winter Music Conference concluded this weekend with the dance music worlds crowning achievment; The IDMA's (International Dance Music Awards) This years winners came from all over the musical spectrum. Here's a video list of the this years winners. The only qualm I had about this years winners was the overwhelming awards that went to David Guetta. It is my opinion that this track, while being rediculously catchy, is quite mediocre. Do you think that he will have a lasting impact in our dance scene or just the track? HMM...anyways here are some videos of the winners this year.

This years best underground dance track came to us from New Jersey native Dennis Ferrer. It is obvious that this guy has a taste for classy and traditional house that is lost on most of today's house djs. Congratulations on the well earned win this year, cant wait for more.

The award for this years best HiNRG/Euro track went to pop-trance sensation Dash Berlin with his track Waiting feat. Emma Hewitt on vocals. The track is extremely poppy but very well produced. Congratulations to Dash Berlin for the win.

The winner of the best House/Garage track came to us this year from Axwell, Ingrosso, and Angello(aka Swedish House Mafia)featuring house legend Laidback Luke.

This year has truly been an epic year for Joel Zimmerman, better known to you and me as genious producer/dj Deadmau5. With the release of 2 albums and a tour schedule that would make any normal person faint, Deadmau5 has won the best Electro track award with his big room epic Ghosts and Stuff.

The award for best Trance Track this year came to us from the #2 dj in the world, Tiesto featuring Australia's very own Sneaky Sound System.

This years award for best break through dj goes to Australian born TyDi. I haven't had too much time to check this guy out. Based on tracks like Mind Games and Under The Stars TyDi could have a huge future in the American Dance Scene. Loving his vocal synths and trance rhythyms.
